Now Hiring! - Thursday, August 21, 2008

The Rock Ranch is now hiring seasonal help to work during Fall Family Fun Days (10am to 10pm Saturdays Sept. 20 - Nov. 8). To be considered, print and fill out this application, then fax it to 706 647-4472.

Fall Field Trips

September 23 - November 14

Pilgrim to Pioneer Days: Your students will enjoy a fun and interactive walk-through history lesson. Students will rotate through stations that include the Native American Station, Pilgrim Corn Grinding Station, Thanksgiving Feast Station, Log Cabin Pioneer Station, Pioneer Covered Wagon Station, Petting Zoo and Goat Feeding Station and they'll enjoy a hay ride around the ranch, and play time in the corn box and on the giant jumping pillow.

The "Explore Georgia" Corn Maze: Students will learn about crop production and discover all of the items that are made with corn. They'll enjoy the challenge of our corn field maze and work as teams to find their way through the challenging labyrinth. By answering trivia questions about Georgia's geography, historic places and famous people, students will be led down the correct path and out of the maze. This curriculum based activity will teach students a great deal about our great students in a fun, interactive manner. This field trip also includes a station that teaches all about Georgia's wildlife and it includes a hay ride and time to play on the jump

October 11th 2008

We are not currently accepting applications for this year's Wagon Wheel Weekend Market Days. Exhibitors for the 2008 event are being selected by invitation only. Those who participated in past festivals at The Rock Ranch will receive an invitation for this event. To be considered for next year's event please e-mail adamnpugh@therockranch.com.

Rules

1) Please print a copy of this application for your records.

2) Application must be filled out completely and postmarked prior to August 10.

3) All items exhibited must be hand crafted by the exhibitor who is present at the festival.

4) Applicant must send 2 photos of products that will be sold.

5) Please enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope for the return of photographs.

6) No commercial crafts or crafts from kits, or commercial molds please.

7) The Rock Ranch is an alcohol free facility – no alcoholic beverages of any kind please.

8) No pets please as this is a working farm environment with a variety of animals that could be a potential risk to your pet.
